HYGGE at Clifton Bay is a new establishment fully renovated and now 6 months on, established at Clifton Bay where the road meets the sea.

For a first time, one off experience, Hygge has joined the FAWC season and offers those that enjoy;
the calm easy mornings with a view over the turquoise coloured ocean, the sun still low in the sky and the day still warming from a cool start, the opportunity to get together with friends or family or both, in a setting unmatched.
Head Chef, Kennedy Taylor has created gastronomy the length of New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands and now, fresh from Craggy Range is here to create beautiful dishes for your delight.
The three-course offering enhances the morning easy feeling with light, intricate and subtle flavours that leave you fully satisfied, ready for an early afternoon chill with visits to any number of natural or urban venues or just relax and enjoy the scenery before the evening begins.

Dianne has extensive stage experience performing lead roles and supporting roles in Opera, Musical Theatre and as a Concert Soloist. Dianne is an Alumuni of the New Zealand Singing School and performed as a guest artist alongside former faculty member and internationally renowned tenor Keith Lewis on his fundraising tour of New Zealand for the NZ Singing School. Dianne is currently a Trustee for the New Zealand Singing School, was Chairman of Opera Hawke’s Bay for a number of years and was also a Trustee on the inaugural board of Trustees for the Hawke’s Bay Opera House.
ON ARRIVAL Guests will be entertained by Jacob Pope who has been playing Guitar for 4 years and is a pupil of David Boston and placed second in the Hawkes Bay Young Musician of The Year 2018. Jacob will relax you during breaks with his fantastically talented sound while you spend time and compare notes with fellow guests.
Enjoy and take in the FIRST COURSE before been entertained by Giselle who is a regular performer in concerts locally, and has appeared as a soloist for Taupo Choral, Rotorua Choral, Hamilton Civic Choir and Hastings Choral, as well as being a past finalist in the Lockwood Aria competition (now the New Zealand Aria).
After the SECOND COURSE indulgence, you will be entertained by Olivia Karlsson who, aside from her NZSS experience, has been in shows throughout Hawke's Bay including, Anything Goes, Madame Butterfly and currently in rehearsals for Sweet Charity. She has also been known to busk around Napier!
The vastly experienced and talented, Paul Carnegie-Jones, is a pianist, song accompanist and musical director whose performance interests span classical genres, jazz and musical theatre and pianist for the Auckland-based production company Operatunity. Pauls’ piano will accompany the voices of Giselle and Olivia
To Complete the morning and the THIRD COURSE take in the sound of Jacob Pope as you confirm friendships and share the moment at this enchanted establishment. Take on board the views from within and without. Realise what a special time it has been and what this means as it all comes together for the feeling that is HYGGE.
